BIOROK® - biofilter for air treatment

 
The BIOROK® Biofilter for air treatment  has been designed for the removal of volatile air pollutants discharged from both municipal and industrial installations. Mineral volcanic material used as the biofilter media enables full neutralization of all odours even  in high concentrations. The device reduces effectively malodorous gases such as: ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, mercaptans, amine, aldehydes, ketones, fatty acids.
 
 

Operating principles, structure

The BIOROK® Biofilter for air treatment  consists of a fan, a chamber filled with filtering media (filter bed) and a chemical adsorbent chamber prior to the discharge. Polluted air is pushed by the fan through the filtering media supporting selected microorganisms. The use of mineral media guarantees virtually endless operation and a much higher effectiveness when compared with standard organic biofilter medias. Pollutants are adsorbed and biodegraded on the media surface.  In order to achieve 100% pollutant reduction, at very high concentrations or temporary high loads,  the air passes through the additional adsorption filter prior to discharge. The biofilter and the adsorbent chamber are enclosed isolating the process from weather conditions (rain, snow, frost, drought).

 All parts are assembled in one container made of UV resistant GRP. The fan is installed in a soundproof enclosure. This functional and efficient design provides structural stability,  corrosion and low temperature resistance as well as no acoustic nuisance for the environment.

All parameters of air treatment are controlled automatically. There is possibility for providing the remote MONITEL® monitoring system enabling chosen process parameters to be controlled by internet, including hydrogen sulphide concentration at the biofilter inlet and outlet.
